THE CHERRY COKE$( 通称:チェリコ ) は 6 人編成の FOLK PUNK BAND。

(FOLK PUNK とは：国内ではアイリッシュパンクと呼ばれることの多いこのスタイルはロックバンドの形態にアコースティック楽器を加

えた編成で、アイルランドを含むケルト音楽やカントリー、ブルースなどのトラディショナル音楽の要素を取り入れた楽曲を演奏するバ

ンドの総称 )

1999 年東京都大田区にて KATSUO(Vo) を中心に結成。数々のデモテープを作成しながらライブ活動、メンバーチェンジを繰り返し全国

的に活動の場を広げ、新たな試みを重ねつつ現在のサウンドに至る。ボーカル、ドラム、ギター、ベースに加え、アコーディオン、ティ

ンホイッスル、マンドリン、バンジョー、ボーラン、サックス、トランペット、ブルースハープ等の楽器を使い分け陽気なモノから哀愁

漂うモノまで様々な楽曲を PLAY。そのサウンドから、Rancid, FLOGGING MOLLY, CASUALITIES, THE SUICIDE MACHINES, STREET

DOGS, BLUE KING BROWN などの海外アーティストの来日公演サポートをはじめ、FUJI ROCK、COUNT DOWN JAPAN、PUNK SPRING、

京都大作戦などの大型フェスにも出演。2nd アルバム「ROUSE UP」ではアイリッシュパンクの生みの親でもあり、ジョー・ストラマーも一

時在籍したことのあるイギリスのバンド「The POGUES」のメンバーがライナーノーツを担当し音楽関係者を驚かせた。

2007 年にはアメリカを代表するアイリッシュパンクバンド「FLOGGING MOLLY」に呼ばれフロリダから LA までのアメリカ横断ツアーに参加し

フロリダ・ディズニーワールドや HOUSE OF BLUES での演奏も行っている。2010 年には NHK アニメ「ジャイアントキリング」の主題歌として

「MYSTORY ~未だ見ぬ明日~」が抜擢され、2012 年には満を持してメジャーから初となるフル・アルバム「BLACK REVENGE」(通算 5 枚目)

をリリースし、ロックキッズだけでなくライブハウスや音楽関係者にも大きな衝撃と注目を集めた。2013 年赤坂 Blitz ワンマンライブ

では海賊船を模した二階建ての巨大なセットを組み、ダンサーを交えたライブを行いバンドの持つエンターテインメント性の強さを発揮

した。2017 年 3 月には FLOGGING MOLLY 主催の 3000 人を収容する大型客船でカリブ海を 3 泊クルーズしながらライブを行う” Salty

Dog Cruise Tour” にアジア圏初として召喚された。(2017 年出演バンド:NOFX, LESS THAN JAKE, Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Bouncing

Souls, The Skatalites 等 ) その時のパフォーマンスが話題を呼び帰国後アメリカ国内のブッキングマネージャーからの出演のオファーや

マーチャンダイズ会社からの問い合わせが殺到。2018年6月13日には8thアルバム『THE ANSWER』、2019年10月9日に9thアルバム『OLDFOX』を発売。

2020年にはコロナ禍で思うような活動やライブが出来ない中、ライブの熱量を忘れて欲しくないという思いから「LIVE IN THE HOUSE」を自主リリース。

ライブ定番曲を中心にリモートで個別レコーディングを行った作品だがまるでライブ音源のような熱量を帯びた意欲作となっている。

2022年3月には2度目となるカリブ海クルーズツアー「Salty Dog Cruise 2022」に出演し、現地では会場に入りきらない程のオーディエンスが詰めかけ高い評価を得た。

現在、国内においてその存在感とスタイルは唯一無二であり今尚多くのライブキッズを魅了し続け海外からも高い評価を得ている。

これまでに 9枚のオリジナルアルバムの他、ベスト盤、ミニアルバム、シングル、DVD、結成当時の自主LP盤等をリリースしている。

THE CHERRY COKE$ are a 6 piece folk punk band from Tokyo, Japan.

Lead vocals Katsuo formed the band in Tokyo in 1999, while making demos and playing shows across Japan they changed line ups numerous times.

Over the years they have formed what has become a unique sound to the band, implementing a number of instruments including accordion, tin whistle, mandolin, banjo, bolan, saxophone, trumpet, blues harp, and others to create a range of songs from melodic singalongs to melancholic ballads. 

Their sound has been recognized by many and they have supported a number of artists on Japanese tours including Flogging Molly, RANCID, CASUALITIES, THE SUICIDE MACHINES, STREETDOGS, BLUE KING BROWN. As well as playing at Japanese festivals Fuji Rock, Punk Spring and more. 

In 2007 the band were invited on Flogging Molly's America tour as a support act playing across the US from Florida to California. 

In 2010 they performed the opening theme song to the anime Giant Killing. In 2012 they released their first full length album 'Black Revenge' their 5th album in total, a big hit with both audiences and industry people. 

In March 2017 they were invited to play Flogging Molly's 3 day Salty Dog Cruise alongside NOFX, Less Than Jake etc. This tour attracted a lot of attention in Asia and US and led to numerous offers for tours on both continents. THE CHERRY COKE$ have continued to release music and play globally, with 9 albums released to date.
